We have a wide range of interactive and exciting workshops available to book, covering the breadth of the National Curriculum and Key Stages.
Whether you choose to bring your pupils to one of our sites, prefer us to come into your school, or opt for one of our virtual workshops, our sessions have been adapted to make content safe for you, your pupils and our staff.
Workshop costs
- £64 for standard workshops delivered at one of our sites or virtual sessions delivered online.
- £125 for whole day workshops.
- £115 for one outreach session delivered in-school.
- £175 for two sessions delivered in-school in one day.
- £198 for three sessions delivered in-school in one day.
- Book 5 sessions in a school year and get a 6th free (if all booked at the same time).
Free Sessions!
We often offer free pilots for new sessions on a first-come, first-served basis. This is to enable us to refine the content prior to general release, so it is a condition of taking up a free session that you are willing to give us detailed feedback and take part in promotional photography as necessary.

Lunch Spaces
Please be aware that there are no dedicated lunch spaces in our venues. You may be able to book a space to eat your packed lunch on site, but please enquire in advance. A small housekeeping charge is applied for use of the lunch space at Wakefield Museum.

On booking, you will be asked a number of questions to enable our staff to work in line with your school guidelines.
Please note that outreach sessions are usually only available to schools within the Wakefield District. If yours is located further afield please do contact us directly at museumslearning@wakefield.gov.uk to enquire - we may be able to help depending on distance/timings.
