Organisations from across the country have nominated female sporting heroes for an exciting new digital resource. The 20 amazing sports women have been brought to life through brand new illustrations with lots of interesting facts. Here at Wakefield Museums & Castles, we nominated the late Stephanie Park, an inspirational local woman, who was a disabled shooter and campaigner. The creative resource is part of the Hidden Histories Illustrated project. Sporting Heritage is working in partnership with freelance illustrator and education consultant, Jessica Hartshorn on the Arts Council England funded initiative to celebrate women and disability in sport.
