With free entry, wide open spaces, dark dungeons and heaps of history, there’s something for everyone.

  • Be a Victorian Historian: Monday 31 July - Saturday 5 August

  • Medieval Melee: Monday 7 August  - Saturday 12 August

  • A Week of Tomfoolery: Monday 14 August  - Saturday 19 August

  • Castle Attack and Defence: Monday 21 August - Saturday 26 August

  • Unexpected Discoveries: Monday 28 August - Saturday 2 September

* Dates with a * are SEND Sessions. SEND families and groups are welcome at all of our sessions, but we run these for visitors who prefer a more relaxed atmosphere.

These sessions will be run with more sensory activities, independent learning, lower light levels and ear defenders available upon request.

Wakefield Museum is getting ready to move! We are making an exciting new Library & Museum and we want you to be part of it.
